A review of The Trawlerman by Thenimblethief written on Wednesday 4th of January 2012
My family have lived in Chineham for 23 years and stopped using Trawlerman years ago. Small portions, extortionate pricing, poor quality chips, and lack of even the minimal customer service. These issues have had us travel to the chinese in Carpenters Down where portions have always been plentiful, beautifully cooked, cheaper, and service that is very friendly, quick, and efficient. It's a shame we have to go elsewhere for a traditional British fare but it's the same with Tescos. We are not snobs but we would have to travel to Bracknell to get a really decent supermarket like Waitrose. Tescos need to move to Brighton Hill and free up the space for them. Not buy out the bank and Lloyd's which they have now done. Anyway, back to the chippy. Perhaps Chineham needs a second one to create competition!.
