A review of Charcoal Grill by Mozza written on Tuesday 15th of July 2008
I posted a review of this kebab shop in February. It was genuinely constructive and objective. I wanted to inform the reader of the lazy attitude towards preparing and serving food that this shop has, and the obvious disdain that the shop has for the customer.
For some reason, my review has since been deleted.
Why is this? The glowing review above mine, which was posted before remains. Do they have something to hide? I merely wanted to point out that this shop may not be suitable for those who actually enjoy quality.
Anyway, to re-iterate what I said in my original review:
I had the mixed special, in order to get a feel for as much as what the shop does as possible. Also, this really should be a kebab house’s signature dish. It shouldn’t be hard to get wrong, but this shop managed it.
Here are my constructive observations:
1. Low quality, leathery doner meat.
2. Small portions
3. For the price, the mixed kebab does not include Kofte
4. The chicken shish was virtually inedible; over-cooked tough hunks of cheap, greasy meat.
5. The Lamb shish was chewy, flavourless and tough.
I adore a good kebab and very much wanted to like this shop, however, I am not an idiot and refuse to accept the genuinely sub-standard food that was delivered to me.
