"Corn Silk Loose Powder - Translucent???"

I have been using Corn Silk Loose Powder - Translucent for a long time and on some occasions felt that the powder was darker in colour than on other occasions. The one which I am currently using is much darker than ever before and actually darkens my make up. I thought that translucent powder should be almost colour free.

Is there an explanation for this - please let me know. .
