"Not what I paid for"

Lately or rather in the last 12 months, I am finding that deliveries of items are taking a lot longer to get to me. Not my imagination as a I have a few incidents were aquaintances have received items in the post before me and in some cases before me whilst purchasing after me.... I get these things eventually but senders and companies keep getting chased by me as there 'expect delivery by' goes and I have to rather frustratingly progress. Anyone else or is it just my area of Basingstoke that appears extremely poor?
