A review of Royal Mail by Derek West written on Friday 27th of June 2014
My mother-in-law posted my birthday card containing money(I know we have told her so many times not everyone is honest like her, but she is 87 and does not listen) it was posted on 5th June first class from the other side of town. three weeks later it has still not arrived and we have not had a card from the post office to say the postage was incorrect. My sister also posted a card from Sussex which did not contain any money but had been opened prior to being delivered. I have tried several times to contact our local sorting office the phone just rings and the line goes dead. I have now contacted post office customer services who were less than helpful, gave me a incident number and said they would investigate. What do I think? I think post is being screened by unscrupulous post office employees targeting greetings cards to see if they contain money or not If it does you don't get it. If it doesn't you get the card. What happen to the days when post office employees were considered honest and of the utmost integrity? Need I say more. That of course unless the postman delivered to the wrong address. UNLUKELY AS THAT COULD BE OF COURSE. Not!.
